Looking forward to an adventurous and relaxing holiday soon? Then now is the time to see the many accommodations in Menorca available today. Finding the right place to stay depends on what part of the island you want to visit.

There are regular flights that come directly into the capital Mahon from mainland Spain, as well as ferries and modest-sized cruise ships from the sister islands of Ibiza and Majorca. Regardless of how you arrive, your starting point will most likely be Mahon. It offers transportation from rentals, taxi, and shuttle buses that leave the airport every half hour from around 6AM to 10PM, and then hourly to midnight. The bus stops at the bus station, the Estacio Maritima and a couple of other intermediate points.

Some of the more interesting hotels in Menorca include:

  • Hotel Mirador des Port, showcasing great views of the port from its room, this hotel also has its own pool, and fitness area complete with Jacuzzis.
  • Posada Orsi, where the rooms are bright and clean, and the hotel staff is attentive!
  • Casa Pas, Son Parc, is a 2 bedroom apartment situated just two minutes away from Menorca’s only Golf Course.
  • Hotel Es Mercadal, a small hotel in the centre of Menorca. 4 double rooms 2 junior suites. Built in a typical Menorcan house that was totally renovated in 2007.
  • Son Bou Gardens, offering mature and well established holiday apartments in the scenic and breezy Son Bou area, is just a few minutes from the nudist beach.
  • Hostal-Residencia La Isla, this large hotel offers spacious rooms for a great value. While the decor is unimaginative, the rooms are clean, and the staff is pleasant.

This is just a small sampling of the wonderful lodging you can find in Menorca. Self-catering holiday villas in Menorca are also a hugely popular choice and there are dozens of online agencies that provide this kind of accommodation. Whether you choose to research and make your own reservations, or you use a travel agent, you want to plan
in advance for the best rates to avoid any disappointment during peak season. The accommodations in Menorca are varied based upon your needs, your budget, and your locale.
